Estados Unidos.- Los Premios Emmy 2025 han anunciado oficialmente su programación, marcando su regreso al calendario tradicional de premiaciones tras los retrasos provocados por las huelgas de SAG-AFTRA en 2023. La ceremonia número 76 de los Primetime Emmy Awards se celebrará el domingo 15 de septiembre de 2024, a las 20:00 hrs (hora del Este), 17:00 hrs (hora del Pacífico) y 18:00 hrs (hora Central). Los premios serán transmitidos en vivo por el canal ABC y también estarán disponibles en TNT, con opciones de repetición en Hulu y Star+ para los espectadores de México.
La lista completa de nominados para esta edición de los Emmy fue revelada en una ceremonia realizada en el histórico El Capitan Theatre en Hollywood, California. Los actores Tony Hale y Sheryl Lee Ralph fueron los encargados de anunciar las nominaciones, acompañados por el presidente de la Academia de Televisión, Cris Abrego. Entre los títulos más mencionados en esta edición se encuentran “Only Murders In The Building”, “The Bear” y “Shogun”, todas ellas destacadas por su notable calidad y popularidad en 2024.
Un momento significativo de esta edición es la histórica nominación de la mexicana Issa López, quien ha conseguido tres postulaciones por su trabajo en “True Detective: Night Country”. López ha sido nominada en las categorías de Mejor Dirección, Mejor Guión y Mejor Serie Limitada, convirtiéndose en la primera cineasta mexicana en recibir tal reconocimiento en los Premios Emmy. Esta serie, estrenada en abril de 2024, ha sido aclamada por su cruda representación de temas sensibles y realistas.
Otro proyecto notable es “Bebé Reno”, una serie que aborda temas de acoso y trauma a través de la perspectiva del guionista y comediante escocés Richard Gaad, misma que fue reconocida por su representación del personaje de ‘Teri’, interpretado por la actriz trans mexicana Nava Mau. Mau ha sido nominada a la categoría de Actriz de Reparto en Miniserie, Antología o Película, destacándose junto a grandes nombres como Lily Gladstone.
La ceremonia de los Emmy 2025 se llevará a cabo en el mismo teatro donde se anunciaron las nominaciones, El Capitan Theatre, y se espera que atraiga una amplia audiencia de fanáticos de la televisión y la industria del entretenimiento. La edición pasada se vio afectada por las huelgas, lo que retrasó su realización, pero este año se espera una celebración sin contratiempos.
